Vermont’s 23 Things 2009 begins today!

Filed under: Continuing Education, Vermont Department of Libraries — vtdeptlib @ 6:55 am

It’s November 23rd and Vermont’s 23 Things is back!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Vermont’s 23 Things, if you’ve ever been curious about blogs, wikis, flickr, RSS, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, but haven’t gone beyond looking up their definitions, here’s a chance to explore those tools (and more!) Vermont’s 23 Things is a self-directed online learning program that will introduce you to many free Web 2.0 tools. It will encourage you to play with them and see how they can be useful in your library (or personally).

To see more, click on Vermont’s 23 Things or cut and paste vermontlibrarieslearn.wordpress.com into your browser window. Then dive right in!

I’ve heard from over 50 interested public and school librarians so you’ll have plenty of company.

If you started during a previous session and life got in the way before you had a chance to finish, here’s another chance.

There is also a Vermont’s 23 Things: Trustee Edition, an abbreviated version of the program devoted to a few select things trustees might find useful.

If you have any questions about Vermont’s 23 Things, please contact Mara Siegel. e-mail: mara.siegel@mail.dol.state.vt.us phone: 828-3261.
