Upcoming workshops from DOL

The Vermont Department of Libraries is pleased to announce or remind you of 2 upcoming workshops.

1. Anti-fraud/Consumer Protection

This workshop will help librarians help members of their communities protect themselves against financial fraud. The workshop will take place at the Midstate Regional Library from 10-12 on two dates.

2. In These Challenging Times: Finding a Job, Starting a Business

In these tough economic times communities are relying on their local libraries for job-seeking and small business development resources. This workshop will be presented by representatives from the Small Business Association and the Vermont Small Business Development Center who will provide librarians with information for creating new businesses or expanding those already in existence. Representatives from the Department of Labor Workforce Development will present material covering a variety of job-related topics, including resume writing, interviewing, etc…
